Lakeshore Technical College

In 2013 Lakeshore Technical College (LTC), located in Cleveland, Wisconsin implemented a comprehensive Assessment of Student Learning institutional effectiveness strategic initiative. Their initiative was to demonstrate student learning by assessing Core Abilities (college-wide outcomes), program outcomes, and course competencies.

The college began by reviewing and revising their Core Abilities (college-wide outcomes). Once the list was complete, their curriculum team worked with faculty to create rubrics for assessing each of the Core Abilities. Rubrics were developed in the Organization module of WIDS and shared with faculty for use in their courses.
