Wisconsin Department of Health Services

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) asked WIDS to facilitate a Community Healthcare Worker (CHW) meeting with stakeholders in the Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) and CHW training partners.  The meeting was followed by a WIDS-led Community Health Worker DACUM, Validation Survey, and Webinars.

The project resulted in a CHW Program detailing course titles, credits, and descriptions to be used as an apprenticeship curriculum standards model. The model is using by BAS, Wisconsin technical colleges, and other training partners. Each course has documentation on competencies, learning objectives, performance standards course credit.
