Boston Public Schools - Arts

Boston Public Schools (BPS) Arts Department partnered with WIDS to correlate Common Core standards to course guides for Arts courses and to create easily accessible documentation for the courses.

WIDS consultants worked with BPS to:

• Map course learning objectives in 70+ courses to Common Core standards
• Deliver outcome matrices in four program areas (music, dance, theater, visual arts) throughout the K-12 curriculum
• Provide model curriculum that teachers can adapt or use as is

BPS used WIDS software as a central system for district-wide Arts curriculum, which alloweddistrict teachers to access curriculum, learning objectives, learning activities, and shared documents.
