The demand for workers in Wyoming’s mining industry is expected to grow by an average of 4.5 percent though 2014, for a 10-year increase of 11,000 workers. The industry also anticipates it will need more than 1,000 new engineers and engineering technicians. The Northern Wyoming Community College District will create a new associate degree in mining technology to help meet the demand. All courses will be converted into the Worldwide Instructional Design System for online delivery, block scheduling and transportability to other institutions. Click here to view this article.
